DIAPER DRIVE 2013
Please help us collect 100,000 diapers for the young children of Kent County!
About the Diaper Drive
- The Diaper Drive started five years ago when the Great Start Parent Coalition decided to do a service project. When researching what to do, we discovered some astounding facts. One out of four children in Kent County are born into poverty. Programs such as, W.I.C. and food stamps do not cover the cost of diapers.
- We have teamed up with our local food pantries in greater Grand Rapids area and over the last four years we were able to collect over 240,000 diapers for them
- The Diaper Drive is a grass roots event that allows children, families, churches, businesses, and organizations to learn about the spirit and importance of giving to those in need. It has become more than just a service project that one Coalition does, it has become a service project greater Grand Rapids does!
